IRS tables used for tax computations (tax rate schedules, tax brackets, and standard deductions)
have been updated for 2007. Market performance statistics have been
updated through 2006.
Don't trust congress? A tax rate adjustment is now available to allow you
to increase or reduce the tax rates Nest Egg applies during post-retirement
years from what they are currently (by default, Nest Egg uses current tax
rates applied to current income brackets adjusted in each future year by inflation).
A 72(t) (SEPP) Calculator has been added to help you analyze 72(t) distribution
plans. Calculate any parameter using any method! The Financial Event Wizard also provides an easy way to add 72(t) plans, enabling you to supplement those automatically calculated by Nest Egg, or to use during pre-retirement.
You can delay Nest Egg's automatically-calculated 72(t) plan to start only after you've reached a minimum age (for instance, you may want to postpone implementing such a plan until you know it will be necessary).
You can have Nest Egg borrow to pay living expenses while under 59½ to avoid making early IRA
withdrawals—another effective optimization strategy for early retirement.
You can also now control the interest rate Nest Egg charges for borrowed amounts.
Financial Events can be made "generic" so they won't cause borrowing. In previous versions, a Financial Event could cause a negative balance in an asset category, so care was necessary to properly allocate expenses to prevent
borrowing. Since many expenses are of a nature that they must be drawn from whatever source is available,
Nest Egg now allows generic Financial Events, which are withdrawn from the most efficient source available
at the time, switching sources when funds in one source run out.

categories.
