Volume downloading and graphing: Fundwatch will now automatically download and graph volume data for
securities and indexes. Volume data is extremely useful for recognizing the
significance of market movements. Volume data can only be entered into Fundwatch by using the download feature (either when updating weekly data or acquiring historical data), and only if it is avaliable for the security.
The graph can plot a number of new analysis features and you can resize, change color, switch between linear/log scale, or zoom/unzoom while you
superimpose performance plots and technical indicators for various
securities. New Graphic Analysis features include MACD (Moving Average Convergence/Divergence)--a popular momentum
oscillator, and Speed Resistance Lines for predicting retracement.
New alerts for retracement and MACD in the Summary Analysis display help
identify confluence of technical indicators, making buy/sell signals more
reliable. The periods used to calculate alerts for Simple Moving Avg, RSI,
Fibonacci retracement, MACD and hi/lo for the trading range are all now
configurable. This means you can set Fundwatch to alert you according to any trend period, separately, for any of the various indicators on the Summary Analysis or Trend Analysis displays.
Fundwatch provides expert-recommended values as defaults.
